A couple of weeks ago I received a call from Chris Lucas, Senior Director, Studio E Customer Reference Team. The question was simple; If I could make up a quote for EMC World in Boston. My first reaction was, 350 million Americans, and he comes to me :). It was just about a "quote" but I was honered. While we spoke on the phone I was driving back home, so it gives me some time to think about a quote. In the end I gave him this:
"Any journey to a private cloud will require superior solutions and technological leadership - two strengths for EMC."
A few days ago I was approached by Rachel Rosenfeld, EMC | Studio E Customer Reference Team Marketing Leadership Development Associate and she thanks me for providing the Studio E Team with an aspirational quote on the journey to the Private Cloud and how EMC is helping customers get there. It seems to be my quote was proudly displayed during the CEO's keynote presentation at EMC World, as well as in the Studio E Booth. With my approval, EMC would love to use my quote publically on EMC.com as well. Again it's just a quote and again I was honered. She asked me to let her know if I approve my quote to be used publically on EMC.com, and on Studio E's Community on ECN. My quote will be used to strengthen EMC's journey to the private cloud initiative, and will help position organizations as innovative thought leaders in this space. Strong words!
