A new CareerPath after long years
Leaving a job can be one of the most stressful occasions in your life. You may have spent years as part of an organization, becoming an integrated part of its office culture. Your routines, habits and small daily rituals. All this is so common you sometimes think, you're never going to leave a company. I had the luxury to create a very comfortable position. The last year it became very obvious, comfort is a major enemy of success. After more than 9 years I decided leaving my current position and switch to another large International company where I will start as a Sr. Systems Engineer mainly responsible for EMC Storage and Backup solutions. No it's not EMC Corp. ;-)
WOW 9 years. Make you think. It's hard to capture all moments over the past 9 years. I had the privilege to develop knowledge in virtualization, storage, backup, DR and Cloud solutions, pointing the organisation in the right direction along the years on this topic and published some Knowledge base articles, Shoot some video's interviews, etc. With great pleasure I have done many succesful projects I'm still proud of. Leaving a heritage behind is beautiful but painful at the same time. Why? Simple, I leave great colleagues behind. People I worked with for a long, long time. There are just too many to name and thank individually, but thank you to all of you!
But I am moving on. As Sr. Systems Engineer - Storage & Backup I will be responsible for a large environment identifying and resolving technical challenges. I am very excited to be part of a global team, focused at an enterprise scale and participate in many projects to come. As you al may know this fits me like a glove.
So my work will be slightly changed compared to my previous job. But all this doesn't mean I am out of the picture
